VACATION PET SITS

MID DAY VISITS

Not able to spend as much time as you’d like with your pet? Don’t let your busy schedule interfere with your furry friend’s well-being. Give the care and attention they deserve by taking advantage of my services.  Give us a call at 919-610-6132 to set up Mid Day Visits to give you peace of mind during your busy work day.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM A TYPICAL VISIT?

During the initial meeting, I will obtain a key (or other method) to enter your home.  I will arrive at your home within the timeframe we agreed upon, and perform all necessary tasks during the 20-30 minute visit:  Walk dogs, feed cats, clean litter boxes, check water supply, administer medications, etc.   Of course, your pet will receive lots of love and hugs!  Upon exiting, I will ensure that your pets are secured, the home is locked and all tasks were performed as required.  Generally, I will leave a logbook at your home noting the time of arrival, comments about the visit and time of departure.  If you prefer, I can send you a confirmation text upon leaving.

DO YOU OFFER BOARDING OR OVERNIGHT VISITS?

Unfortunately, we do not offer these services.

DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR VISITS ON NATIONAL HOLIDAYS?

The surcharge for National Holidays is $5.00 per visit.  This includes:
New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.

CAN YOU BRING IN MY MAIL AND ROTATE LIGHTS WHILE WE'RE ON VACATION?

Absolutely!  This is part of my Pet Sitting Service while you're away on vacation.

WHAT IS A "MEET AND GREET"?

After our initial phone/email conversation, I will schedule a time for a face-to-face meeting in your home.  In addition, I will send you forms to review and sign that discuss my policies and procedures, emergency options, and gather information about your family and your pet(s).  During the Meet and Greet, we will discuss details of the visits, you can see how I interact with your pets and, if you feel comfortable after our interaction,  I will collect 2 keys.  (One key will be placed in a locked cabinet in my office in case of emergency, the other will be used to access the home for the visits).   A few days before my first visit, I will touch base and confirm my instructions and answer any questions you might have.  My goal is to have you feel that I'm an extension of your family, so you can relax and know your pets are happy and safe in my care.

ARE YOU BONDED AND INSURED?

I have liability insurance/bonding provided by Pet Sitter Associates, LLC.  I will be happy to show you my certificate of coverage during the Meet and Greet, or you can download a copy from my website under the FORMS section.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PET BECOMES ILL WHILE WE ARE AWAY?

During the Meet and Greet, we will discuss options for emergency situations, you will be able to choose the option that best suits your needs, and I will keep that information on file.

WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE AREA?

Our service area is approximately a 10 mile radius of Youngsville, NC

A North Carolina native, I was born and raised in Burlington, NC.  After attending Appalachian State University, I moved to Raleigh in 1983.  I was blessed to have a successful career in Project Management in the Triangle Area, and wanted to do something after my retirement in 2014 that would  make use of my core attributes...... dependability, dedication to clients, integrity, love of animals, great communication skills and attention to detail.  I’ve been a professional Pet Sitter since my retirement, but have been looking after pets my whole life. Whether it’s walking your dog, feeding your cat, or taking care of your bird while you’re away, I always provide a nurturing and safe environment.  You can count on me to be there to honor my commitments and give your fur babies the love and attention they deserve.
